As a truly local insurance company, we believe it is important to put something back into the community. Through our Community Support Programme (a mix of education, arts, sport, the environment and charitable causes) we are widely supportive and integrated into the Channel Islands community, being involved in causes that are important to our people, our brokers and our customers.
It was a fab weekend of football as the men’s and ladies’ Muratti finals took place at Springfield in Jersey.
First up were the ladies with Jersey taking the trophy for their 5-1 win against the Guernsey team.
The weather looked like it was going to scupper plans on the Sunday but, thankfully the Guernsey fans made it over to Jersey enmasse to see their team win for the third year in a row – this time by 4-1 against the Reds.
A big thank you to our mascots who lead out the Jersey team to start the game off in style.
We were delighted to be part of a group of businesses that help make Liberation Day so successful. Thousands of people turned out for this year’s event, packing St Peter Port seafront to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment for all the family.
Congratulations to the Guernsey Ladies Rugby team for a well deserved Ladies Siam cup win over Jersey at the weekend. The 27-10 scoreline reflected the Guernsey team’s third straight success in the fixture. Special congrats to our two Insurance Corporation team members who played for Guernsey, Tara Robert and Heidi Mahy who scored a try. Well done ladies!
Several of our team worked alongside the MS Society (our chosen charity for the year) this week in their pop-up shop in Smith Street, St Peter Port. The shop is given over the good causes to help raise funds and awareness for their specific areas of concern. Our team were on hand to help with the MS showcase of arts and crafts and photos that were being displayed.
B&Q carpark was a hive of activity on 17 November, when Insurance Corporation teamed up with other joint sponsors, Guernsey Crimestoppers and the Guernsey Crime Prevention Panel for the recent ‘Love your Bike’ campaign.
