As a truly local insurance company, we believe it is important to put something back into the community. Through our Community Support Programme (a mix of education, arts, sport, the environment and charitable causes) we are widely supportive and integrated into the Channel Islands community, being involved in causes that are important to our people, our brokers and our customers.
A tree-planting project in local schools has won the coveted Insurance Corporation Conservation Award for 2012. Organised by the Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees, the Little Trees Project focused on tree planting and habitat creation to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Now the team behind the project have been presented with a cheque for £2,000 to help fund their endeavours.
Since 2008, Insurance Corporation has supported the Catel de Lecq (on Jersey’s north coast) project in Jersey. A project co-ordinated by States of Jersey Department of the Environment (on Jersey’s north coast) and funded through a partnership initiative with the Insurance Corporation of the Channel Islands.
The Insurance Corporation Healthcare Bursary awards are annually held and offer the opportunity for Health and Social Care professionals to expand their skills and improve healthcare in the Bailiwick. A bursary of £ 3,000 is awarded to fund the winning project.
Every year a variety of projects are seen but unfortunately there is only one prize.
